1RM action was weak at 70#, vs 80# on 8/7 and 90# 12/22/11…. Will work on it. 1RM C&J PR of 100#, 5# over 8/14….woooha! Good luck everyone…post your PR’s it’s encouraging to see…
Great 5:45 class today! Thanks Joe!
I’m pretty sure this was my first attempt at a full Snatch, so aside from finding today’s 1RM, I was really trying to get my form together.
No PR on the C&J, but tried to improve my form there as well.
BURPEES! Less bad knowing there’s a rest coming…
Snatch: 85#

managed to get to 80# for the snatch and allowed myself only 3 attempts at 85#. Skipped the c&j -sorry- surfed this am too so so
Ething has to give.
Glad to have Jon R to wod with. 11:41 and thought I might die.
9am class was so awesome they inspired me to WOD after their class even though I was running short on time. So due to time constraints and a minor hand issue I decided to stay away from over head movements and just went for 1RM clean. Set a PR @215# full squat clean, with the help of cheers from some other CFP coaches. Suffered through the WOD with Kristen coming in at 9:33 which was also a PR for that workout. Good luck PM crew. Get some!
Tied my snatch PR of 100, but happy to report that I PRd a clean today and also PRd my jerk today….which means I PRd my clean & jerk putting up 150#! 155 was quite elusive however.
WOD in 9:27 rx
My snatch stayed consistent at 115, but my clean and jerk was up to 145 (from 115). Took 13:09 to do the WOD, as my burpee speed is just sad.
I think it’s time for me to start posting again. I feel like Jimmy Chitwood in Hoosiers when he got up in front of the town to say ‘I think it’s time for me to start playing basketball again’. If Bird stays, I WOD. If Bird goes, I go. I digress. After months of rest, PT and a cortisone shot I have been working out and going light and slow since mid-June. I did 75# on the snatch and 95# on the C&J. I did the WOD in 13 something (I rowed). Oh, and Brian Ray is 87 years old. I have no idea about the other gentleman.
My weights resembled a Crossfit Kids session. Definitely no PR.
However finally got to work out with Tony who pushed me to an 8:59 finish on the WOD. I’d like to think I pushed him a little too!
It was awesome to see so many PR’s today! Jim Giorgi split snatching from his knees was Games worthy.
Tons of heart all around.
PR’s for both lifts, right around the same weights as a 100 LB girl (Snow). Witnessed the Jim G overhead snatch to knees to stand. Amazing. Brian is making old look good.
205 on the snatch, 250(pr) on the C&J
10:22 on the WOD, best I’ve felt on a pure running and bodyweight MetCon in a while!
Tons of PR’s in the box, I coached 5 classes yesterday and counted at least 30!!! That’s a huge number, keep up the great work!
125 Snatch which is my current RM and a PR for C&J @ 145. Limiting seems to be form, need to learn how to get the weight up correctly and switch movments more efficently…also completed the dreaded burpees in 12 flat. I’m getting better at them as I no longer have bloody knees afterwards.
Managed to match my 155 Sn. and 205 CJ PRs but nothing more. Still felt Saturdays DLs. Motivating session, class was packed with PRs. Lots of Woohoos. It is nice to report my lifts are definitely more technically sound and so is my confidence in completing them. 10:24 on WOD, burpees.
I’m so glad everyone’s posting. I miss a lot going to the 5:45a.m., but I’ll be making some rounds for inspiration from you all. Woooha!
